Beagle Platform is named after Beagle Voyage.
Charles Darwin’s five-year voyage in the early 1830s on H.M.S. Beagle has become legendary, as insights gained by the bright young scientist on his trip to exotic places greatly influenced his masterwork, the book "On the Origin of Species".
Beagle, for us represents curiosity, knowledge and adventure. The work at Beagle Platform is the way we express our excitements of the world and also a way for us to pay the tribute to one of the greatest adventures in mankind.
Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin's experience of studying at Cambridge encouraged his passion for natural science. His five-year voyage on H.M.S. Beagle established him as an eminent geologist.
